Two killed by car at Tennessee festival

The annual Rockabilly Highway Revival Festival and Car Show in Selmer, Tennessee, is an event to which many local residents and visitors alike look forward.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse at this year’s festival when a vehicle crashed through a barricade. As a result, a woman and a man were killed.

While the people who passed on were transported to a local funeral home, the driver and passenger of the vehicle ended up at Magnolia Hospital in Corinth, Mississippi.

At this time, the cause of the accident is still under investigation. Furthermore, the Tennessee Highway Patrol has yet to release any information regarding the deceased or those driving in the vehicle.

According to witnesses, the street was closed down with barricades so that vehicles could not get to the area. However, it is believed that the elderly man drove his vehicle through the barricade, eventually barreling down the street. In addition to the deceased, the vehicle also struck another vehicle, a truck and an ATV.

Witnesses also noted that the deceased were not watching as the vehicle approached, but instead were taken by surprise with their backs turned.

This story shows that everybody who gets behind the wheel of a motor vehicle needs to be careful at all times. It only takes one mistake, such as this, to cause serious injury or even death. If more people had been in the area, there is a chance that the end result could have been more fatalities.

When a person is injured in this type of accident, he or she must seek immediate medical attention. From there, they can also learn more about their legal rights to pursue compensation.
